![]() One thing I think needs mentioning though is how backwards the multiplayer is, years after online play has been widely adopted. It's sorta organically developing itself. They don't need Team 17 making more games, really. But as long as people have the Project X and Worms Armageddon is getting patches. They added in some popular features of the community patches and concepts from that Project X thing that allows people to hack the game more easily, basically. In case of Worms, Team17 is learning from WA. They know what people want and what's cool, they actually play the game and know exactly what's good for it.īut when you make a new commercial game with a bunch of coders and artists and such, you don't know what is cool and what might people want improved in what way, since you're doing everything from scratch and therefore you can't be familiar with it from all those years playing it like with OpenTTD or WA. It's getting it's updates that are made by the community members, or at least people who are more tied with community than with original developers of the product.
